What to see in South Carolina

You don’t need to resort to alcohol and drugs to have a good time in South Carolina. The state is home to some of the country’s best beaches, including Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach, where the sights and sounds of coastal life are abundant. Relax waterside or take in the nature of surrounding state parks. Not a water person? No problem. Check out the Carolina Opry while your there, or swing by a Pelicans minor league baseball game. And if you’re into food—look no further. Charleston, South Carolina is home to some of the best cuisine in the nation, be it barbecue, burgers, or bone marrow. If there’s an artist in you, Charleston is the place to be, brimming with live music and plenty of museums to keep the right side of your brain piqued. Plus, the city boasts some rare historical sites like the Nathaniel Russell and Edmondston-Alston houses, built in the early 1800’s.
