  • CA DUI Classes. If you are a CA resident with a CA drivers license, you must get prior approval from the DMV to take the class. The CA DMV and ADP does not allow online classes at this time and we do not electronically file with the DMV. We are not a CA licensed DUI school and this class should not be taken by CA residents who have a CA drivers license. Out of state residents with a CA requirement may be able to take our program with prior approval. Our classes are taken for educational purposes and for certain legal requirements with approval. Many CA courts have accepted this program.

California Alcohol and Drug Stats

In 2010, 1,768 people were killed in traffic accidents that were alcohol and or drug related. There were 24,343 alcohol related injuries. There were 195,879 arrests for Driving Under the Influence. 77.6% of those arrests were Males. In fatal accidents where drivers had been drinking, 34.7% were involving fixed objects while 52.7% were involving multiple vehicles

In 2010, the average age of drivers cited for DUI was 30 yrs. 22.4% of those arrested were Female. The proportion of women among convicted offenders has risen consistently since 1989.

<1% of offenders we under 18. Motor cycle deaths involving their operators increase 5% to 27% from 2009 to 2010. Hispanics represented 43.7% ethnic group among DUIs, as they have since 1992 (with the exception of 1999). Drivers age 21 - 24 had 35% of BAC levels of .08 or higher. 10.6% of accident related injuries involved alcohol, which was lower than 11.2% in 2009.

Blood Alcohol Concentration means BAC. In 2009, the average BAC level of a convicted DUI offender (reported by local law enforcement), was 0.15%. BAC levels even at .02% can affect your driving ability and likelihood of a crash. The probability of a crash increases significantly at .05% BAC and climbs quickly after .08% BAC.

Penalty Schedule for Sales to Minors

Sales of alcoholic beverages to anyone under 21 carries a 15 day license suspension Permitting people under 21 to drink carries a 15 day license suspension. Furnishing or causing to be furnished alcoholic beverages to anyone under 21 carries a 15 day license suspension. 2nd violation within 36 months carries a 25 day license suspension 3rd violation within 36 months and the license is revoked.
